The critical role of emotional, occupational, and physical well-being and high-level wellness initiatives in today’s post-Covid-19 environment will be among the primary topics discussed at the National Wellness Institute’s highly acclaimed 2021 National Wellness Conference. Wellness and health professionals from around the world will gather both virtually and in-person for the 46th annual event scheduled for July 28-29.

The theme of this year’s hybrid conference is “Be Curious. Be Intentional. Be Well.” NWI will host the event from the Crowne Plaza Union Station Hotel in Indianapolis with an array of notable speakers, including:

  • Jimmie McMillian, Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Corporate Counsel | Penske Entertainment
The opening keynote will be a discussion about Penske Entertainment’s intentional efforts to diversify professional opportunities that are available in motorsports through the initiative “Race for Equality and Change.”
  • Judy Monroe, MD, President & CEO | CDC Foundation
Dr. Monroe will provide insight on the global State of Wellness and Health, and what she is seeing our workplaces and communities doing to help people thrive personally and professionally.
  • Jon Clifton, Global Managing Partner | Gallup
Research conducted by Gallup will be on display regarding pre- and post-pandemic global suffering.  Jon will present these findings and provide an in-depth focus on the importance of multidimensional, multicultural, high-level wellness strategies.

The 46th National Wellness Conference will also be conducting an in-person WellLeader summit to develop a future of wellness blueprint for the industry.  Leaders from around the world are gathering in Indianapolis to offer their expertise on the future of the industry.  Employers, coaches, academics, vendors, consultants, community leaders, and clinicians are coming together to develop a One-Size-Fits-WELL action plan for driving wellness where we live, work, and play.  Limited seating is still available to attend the in-person event.

As the worldwide voice of the wellness community, NWI’s annual conference is one of the largest global events for wellness professionals and brings together a myriad of professional leaders from worksites, communities, public health organizations, healthcare, colleges, universities, faith communities, coaching, consulting, and more to learn, connect, network, grow, engage in timely topics, and earn continuing education credits (CECs). This year’s event will include two days of timely presentations, dynamic breakout sessions, small-group discussions, and networking opportunities, as well as a package of on-demand sessions to view in the weeks following the conference.

“The last 18 months have brought wellness strategies to the forefront of society. Workplaces and communities that are driving high-level wellness strategies are beginning to experience the positive impact from their targeted actions,” said Chuck Gillespie, NWI CEO & Executive Director. “The National Wellness Conference provides a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn from others and take action to create and sustain results that drive personal, professional, and economic growth.”
